Pontine Theatre, the Enfield Shaker Singers and Chef James Haller offer A SHAKER EXPERIENCE on Saturday, May 4, at 7 pm, at Strawbery Banke Museum. Mary Ann Haagan, Director of Enfield Shaker Singers, and Pontine Theatre’s Co-Directors Marguerite Mathews and Greg Gathers offer a 30 minute performance of Shaker music and toy theatre based on a 19th century conversion story: "Jane E. Blanchard, Enfield Shaker." Following the performance, Chef Haller will present a selection of traditional Shaker dessert items from The Shaker Table, the restaurant he operated at Canterbury Shaker Village. James Haller will offer signed copies of his cookbook, “Cooking in the Shaker Spirit” for sale, and Pontine Theatre will offer a book with original illustrations based on their toy theatre figures.
